Alae Residential Design Mission Statement
Alae Design's goal is to create architecture that exhilarates clients and benefits the earth.
Alae Residential Design is deeply committed to positively addressing "climate change" one building at a time.
Putting it plainly we design buildings "as if we give a damn" because we do! At Alae Design, it is truly personal, love with our clients, their building site and the process of delivering architecture that matters; architecture that is timeless, beautiful, durable and most importantly practical.
We accomplish this by using an integrated design process that balances practical and spiritual objectives with sustainable construction practices. Our design process respects the earth, our clients and craftsmen equally.
Alae Residential Design Believes in Architecture That Matters
Harry Seidel is a graduate of Grinnell College (BA-Art), Ellsworth College (BS-Building Science) and he attended the Boston Architectural College.
Harry designed his first solar house (active and passive) in 1976 and built traditional timber frames and conventionally framed homes for the next decade. In the late 1980 Seidel shifted his emphasis to design and drafting.
Harry Seidel has designed residences in NH for the last 25 years and has established a reputation for delivering beautiful architecture, and creating accurate and clear construction documents that builders appreciate.
Harry understands how to combine architecture, civil engineering and landscape design to protect the sensitive ecological health of our lakes and streams.
In recent years Seidel has attended numerous professional seminars in Green Building and LEED programs.
Alae Residential Design uses its accumulated intelligence in building science and design to create custom residences that meet highest standards of energy efficiency, interior air quality, client service and beauty.
